When You Enter A Palace, Ask To Visit Their" Props" Room

Business.

Dancing online: how to use visual chats for more effective online dating - craig gazed at susan sipping her latte. He had met her in a grocery store checkout line, and they' d immediately hit it off. so well, in fact that he' d suggested a" get acquainted" date at Starbucks. "I' m really glad you came, " he said, "I brought something that will help you get to know me better. " He removed his resume from its manila folder and handed it to her. She looked back with curious expectation.

It was packed with information about himself: his height, eye color, weight, level of education, future goals, career choice, hobbies, and likes and, sports dislikes in movies and music. - craig read it over quickly and compared it with his own. It sported an 8 x 10 glossy of himself leaning against his new Tundra. "Oh, this looks good! " she said and handed him hers. Yes, they seemed to be compatible in almost every way. What do you think? He glanced up at her. "Well this looks really good. Should we start dating? " She nodded.

PEOPLE DON' T DATE PAPER. - it looked like a very promising relationship. If this scenario doesn' t sound silly to you it does to me. So, why should it be any different when you' re searching for a mate online? Whoever heard of a real life relationship( except employment) beginning with people handing each other resumes? Why would it be any more effective in cyberspace to judge a person from a piece of paper, no matter how thorough the description of that person might be? If someone likes your profile they contact you if they think you' re compatible( and vice versa, of course) .

The traditional approach to online dating does exactly that: you post your picture and profile on a dating site, and search other profiles. - the essential element. Even a short written blurb doesn' t do it. The trouble is that even if we are really good at presenting ourselves in writing, we generally can' t get across one essential element, and that is OURSELVES. And that can make online dating a frustrating experience. Why? Usually we get very few" bites" , and the ones we do get are usually just not right.

Because a piece of paper just isn' t the real you, it' s something ABOUT you. - the person that is looking for you, may never come, the real you your way. You, your personality, that is, usually doesn' t come across. YOU WILL SEE A STRANGER... ACROSS A CROWDED ROOM. You ask around. In the real world, you may walk into a room, whether it' s a bar, a classroom, a dance floor, or a church fellowship hall and... see her/ him across the room. Does anybody know her?

Or you just walk up to her and introduce yourself, buy her a, shake her hand drink, and get her email address or telephone number. - can somebody introduce you? This is what works. Chatting allows you to begin talking with someone online in your own personal style. YOU NEED TO SEE THEM. The person you are chatting with immediately gets a feel for your personality.

Enter the two dimensional( and lately, the three dimensional chat) , which greatly increases your chance of actually getting to know somebody, and having them get to know you. - i' ve been chatting for some time now, yahoo chat, with msn chat, and icq, and have made a few friends online, but the trouble with these traditional chats is that you can' t actually see and interact with other people the way you would in real life. (some might argue about the cam, but that' s the subject of another article) . GETTING TO KNOW YOU - - THE VISUAL CHATROOM. The visual chat I am most familiar with is The Palace, http: //www. thepalace. com. Visual chatting has been around since 1999, but has never been fully utilized as an online dating tool. The Palace is actually a potentially infinite collection of" palaces" : online chat rooms set up on hosting servers by computer savvy members. The theme of the palace is usually consistent with the interests of the owner.

These" palaces" consist of a main entrance gate and many" rooms" , comprised of living rooms with fireplaces, bedrooms, outdoor scenes, dining rooms, etc and etc. - many are adult - only and may not be areas you wish to enter. You may choose to read either brief or long descriptions. A directory of palaces is located at the palace. com site. I recommend reading the full description before entering a palace. INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.

With the palace software installed, you can click on the link found in the directory and find yourself in any palace you choose. - in order to install the software, click on the palace link, fill out the registration information, download and run it. When you run the software after installation, you will be given a default" avatar" . A unique identification number will be assigned to you. Your first avatar is a yellow" Happy Face" and your default identity will be" New Friend" . Think of a positive sounding name that describes who you are.

You' ll want to give yourself a new name. - when you enter a palace, ask to visit their" props" room. Try to pick one that looks as much like you as possible( or, at least, what you would like to look like) . There you can find an avatar that most suits you. DANCING ONLINE. You have entered a new world, where you just might find the special person you' ve been looking for. Be ready to have fun!

Soon, even though you may be 3000 miles apart, you can still" sit together" or actually" dance" with them online. - real life. From The Palace, it' s just one step to Yahoo Messenger, and, cam, if things work out.

QoS Is Covered In A 5 Day Cisco Class Or In Any Bootcamp

Business.

Make your voice heard - make your voice heard. by vik malhi. The CCIE Voice track has almost caught up with the Service Provider track in terms of numbers qualified, despite the latter being available for a much longer period of time.

Unless you' ve been stuck on Mars for the past couple of years, you' re probably already well aware of the fact that most of the buzz words projected out of jubilant salesmen' s( and saleswomen' s! !) mouths around Cisco canteens invariably have something to do with voice. - but gaining a voice certification doesn' t always have to mean ie. Whether you use it as a stepping stone towards attaining your IE or merely as a measure of consolidating your skill set, it certainly has proved to be as popular and valuable to a great number of engineers - just look at the comments received on the various Discussion forums, such as the Cisco Netpro Forum. Have you considered its little sister, namely the CCVP? The questions one typically asks before embarking on the pursuit of a CCVP go along the lines of... "So is it worth the effort? does it enhance job prospects? what does it entail? how much experience in Cisco' s voice technologies do I need? how much Routing and Switching knowledge do I need? etc, etc... " Whether you like it or not, right now and probably for the next 3 - 5 years, convergence is hot. So having a CCVP under your belt is most definitely worth the paper it' s printed on and then some.

Not only inside the US, where technology used for carrying voice over a packetized network is at its most mature, but across the globe. - whether job prospects are enhanced by having a ccvp is a more difficult issue to tackle - it certainly helps getting you to the interview, but ultimately the rest is down to you. Why should you bother with the CCVP when you can go straight to CCIE Voice? One thing in your favor however is that companies pursuing the Cisco" Unified Communications Specialization partnership" program require a number of engineers holding a CCVP on their books. It depends on your experience and certainly there are at least 80 - 90 CCIE Voice engineers who passed the CCIE Voice lab exam without acquiring the CCVP. It would be impossible to pass the Voice lab without first becoming comfortable with the concepts covered in the VP material so that begs the question - why wouldn' t you start with the VP?

These figures are not based upon published statistics but simple mathematics - the IE Voice track was released in September' 03 whereas the VP debuted in February' 0However the VP, now that it does exist, is very much worthy as a preparation tool for the IE, as well as a qualification in its own right. - as with anything, nothing can substitute real world experience, so every minute working on call manager, qos, gateways, gatekeepers and catalyst switches, which make up the core components tested on the ccvp exams, helps. Whereas the CCNA/ CCDA most definitely have tangible benefits when certifying on the CCNP or CCDA, the CCNA is only a pre - requisite for the VP because, er... ., there isn' t a CCVA! The official pre - requisite is having a valid CCNA certification, but don' t be fooled - there is virtually no knowledge of routing and switching protocols required to pass the exams, although it does help in tying everything together when looking at the big picture. When it comes to teaching the CCVP bootcamp this makes life very difficult because there is absolutely no knowledge of voice required whatsoever. Cisco Voice over IP( CVOICE) Cisco IP Telephony( CIPT) Implementing Gateways and Gatekeepers( GWGK) Quality of Service( QOS) IP Telephony and Troubleshooting( IPTT) Lets start with CVOICE.

In total there are five exams that need to be cleared before attaining the VP. - earlier releases of this exam dealt with vofr and voatm, as well as voip. This is the first part of the magic quintet you should deal with and provides a good introduction and grounding for the more glorified exams that follow. Thankfully Cisco changed their minds and restricted the tested technologies to VoIP. In my own view, I would propose that CVOICE should be one half of the CCVA( the other half being the ICND exam that is required for the CCNA) . There' s two methods of training for this exam - (1) the official Cisco authorized training constituting of the self - study Cisco Voice Fundamentals( CVF) and the 4 day classroom - based CVOICE. (2) A CCVP bootcamp which is not authorized by Cisco but does" cram" much of the same information.

Let' s wait and see! - after cvoice, the next hurdle is the cipt exam. It' s so difficult that Cisco decided to split the material covered into two separate classes - CIPT1( 5 days in the class - room) and CIPT2( 3 days in the class - room) . This is probably the toughest exam out of the five. In doing so they forgot to split the exam in two halves, hence you are presented with one pretty tough exam. Well, real - world experience really does help you get thru this exam.

How many times have you heard people say" ...real world experience really does help get you thru this exam... " and end up in the testing center answering a load of questions which do not pertain to any real - world situation? - no, really it does! The reason is that the primary focus of the test is Call Manager, which so happens to be the call processing element of any Unified Communications solution. Of the five, the CIPT test is probably the most important in its application to the real world. Let' s put it another way - Call Manager is the brain of the IP Telephony network. In fact, they are totally dependant on Call Manager. Your Skinny IP Phones, Quality of Service, MGCP gateways, IPCC Express and Unity servers are fairly reliant on Call Manager.

Again, you have 8 days of official Cisco training or material covered in bootcamp format. - there' s a whole new dialog that you will come across - call manager groups, device pools, regions, locations, inter - cluster trunks, partitions, calling search spaces, route plans, bat, cdr, bars and a whole lot more. Whatever means you choose, hands - on lab exercises is vital for this class. And the neat thing is, as well as being useful for the CIPT test, they are the building blocks of engineering any Cisco IPT network in the real world. Along with CIPT, GWGK provides the real business end of the CCVP cert in that it is very useful in your day to day activities and also for your CCIE prep. Next up is GWGK.

Have you read the Cisco Press" Implementing Gateway Gatekeeper" book? - that is precisely the big challenge with this test in that it is the newest exam( all the other tests existed before the conception of the ccvp) and there isn' t much out there in terms of useful reading literature away from cco. I' m guessing the answer to this question is an emphatic" No" , mainly because there isn' t one out yet! You data guys might like this class too! The good news with the GWGK class( 5 days with Cisco training or bootcamp) is that it is by and large IOS - based. CIPT is heavily focused on the Call Manager Administration GUI - you might get fed up of pointing and clicking in Windows by the end of the CIPT class, so don' t say you haven' t been warned! .

Hence you don' t need to stray too far away from your beloved router. - that is not to say you' re going to spend all your time configuring ospf, rip, eigrp, etc... no, there' s a whole new world that exists on a cisco router that you knew nothing about. Which, is now renamed, by the way gateway or gatekeeper. If the data guys didn' t like GWGK they are sure to love QoS, the next logical step in the Fibonacci sequence. Not only that, you can also learn about how you can bring down Serialization delay so voice packets don' t need to queue up for very long before being transmitted. The reason is that you spend most, your time configuring, if not all and learning about class - maps, policy - maps and the things you can do inside WAN interfaces to prioritize beautiful Cinderella - like voice packets ahead of the ugly cumbersome data packets.

And if that wasn' t enough, you can finally work out what the" wrr - queue" command does on a Catalyst switch and what the hell" 2q2t" queues are. - how applicable is it in the real world? In all seriousness, the QoS class/ test is extremely useful not only for the CCVP certification but for a number of other Cisco Certifications. I' m not going to say it isn' t at all because it' s definitely better to understand all the various commands that show up on configurations, but AutoQos makes life in the real - world an awful lot easier( AutoQos being a macro that implements all the QoS you need with two or three commands) . Beware, they also choose to throw in a little BGP which is interesting to say the least. QoS is covered in a 5 day Cisco class or in any bootcamp.

Did you know you can classify packets based on BGBP community lists and AS paths? - qppb) . Well, you can using the QoS Policy Propagation via BGP feature( a. k. a. Another interesting point to note on the QoS exam is the number of simlets and simulations that the candidate is required to negotiate. This makes it, from a personal perspective, and if there, the best is such a thing, the most enjoyable exam. Of all the exams that comprise the CCVP, the QoS exam tests the candidate' s ability to apply knowledge gained more than any other test.

Once you' ve passed the CVOICE, CIPT and QOS exams, congratulations are in order. - the final bridge to cross is the iptt exam. No you haven' t got your CCVP yet, but you have now qualified as a" Cisco IP Communications Support Specialist" which is a nice bonus to pick up along the way to your VP and also useful for partner specialization programs. Troubleshooting always sounds interesting, as if you are on the brink of learning some ground - breaking skill that' s been missing your entire life. Troubleshooting methodology is a very difficult skill to learn in a classroom - the best troubleshooters in a particular technology invariably have the most experience troubleshooting that technology. Well, if that' s what you' re expecting you might be bitterly disappointed.

At first glance that may not be such a radical statement to make, however the knock - on affect makes one wonder what the point of the IPTT exam is? - let me explain why. And that would be a very good question. When sitting the QoS class, a large part of any lab exercise demands that the candidate uses the appropriate" debug" and" show" commands in order to fully appreciate and verify the particular QoS technique in operation. In the CIPT class, CIPT2 focuses largely on the Internal Server Tools that aid troubleshooting Call Manager. When performing lab exercises in the GWGK class, you will also need to be able to perform the appropriate verification. In other words, the IPTT class is a culmination of all the other classes with one little exception, namely Unity.

We end up with the interesting prospect of not needing to know anything about designing or supporting Unity for the CCVP certification, but candidates are expected to know how to troubleshoot Unity. - for some reason, probably because the people responsible for writing the iptt course content decided that all the content was already covered, decided to throw in troubleshooting unity into the mix. Puzzled? What we end up with is a mix of all the other tests and some intricate details on Cisco Unity. You' re not the only one. It' s quite an easy exam if the candidate has passed all the other exams in the not - so - distant past and has the Cisco Unity Systems Engineer( CUSE) certification.

IPTT should be the last exam any CCVP candidate attempts and training constitutes a 5 day Cisco official class or the final chapter of a CCVP bootcamp. - it' s still quite easy if you' re comfortable with everything apart from the unity sections, but the iptt exam gets quite difficult if you' ve forgotten the content of the other parts of the ccvp cert. So what are you waiting for? Vik Malhi, CCIE# 13890 Voice, Cisco IP Telephony, CCVP Support Specialist, Cisco IP Telephony Operations Specialist, Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist and Cisco Wireless LAN Design Specialist. Go ahead and make your voice heard!

Don' T Worry About Losing Traffic Via Those Clicks

Business.

How to achieve higher ctr on adwords/adsense - if you hear about people achieving high payments per click with adsense, remember that' s only part of the story. Here are some ideas on how to achieve those three things: If you' re starting afresh designing a site specifically for AdSense revenue, you' ll want a simple design that makes it easy to paste Google' s code into a horizontal or vertical space on the site. You also need lots of page views and a high click - through rate.

For experienced webmasters, that' s easy. - use white space, so that the adsense panel catches the eye. To increase your click - throughs, uncluttered page with, design a simple the AdSense ads displayed prominently. Stick to only one topic per page - that should make it easier for Google to serve up highly relevant ads on your pages. If you want to target certain high - priced keywords, use them in the file name, in the heading on the page, and in the first paragraph - in other words, use search engine optimization techniques. Plain, bland pages with few competing hyperlinks should result in higher click - through rates on the AdSense ads.

If you change those keywords, Google will change the ads that appear on your page. - figure out which words are involved, and rewrite those words. Watch out for cases where Google has guessed wrong, and is displaying ads that won' t interest your visitors. Help Google by sticking closely to the topic. If you can earn maybe 30 or 50 cents or more per click, you WANT to lose visitors! Don' t worry about losing traffic via those clicks. You' ll also want keyword - rich pages, optimized to rank highly in search engines, so you can serve lots of pages.

They catch visitors' attention more than horizontal banner ads. - where possible, high on the, use skyscraper ads page. One of the beautiful things about AdSense is that you can now generate revenue from informational sites even if there are no obvious related affiliate programs. Don' t be tempted into trying to create thousands of spammy computer - generated articles. With 100, there, 000 advertisers' s a good chance that Google will find ads that match your pages, better than the big ad networks can. Human beings review sites for AdSense.

Google likes them. - build useful, interesting sites. Even More Tips. This will give you a quick idea of keywords that people are willing to pay big money for. Have a look at the top 100 keywords on 7search. You can also type phrases into the 7Search Keyword Suggestion Tool.

You' ll want to dig deeper. - this is just step one of your keyword research. At FindWhat pay - per - click search engine you can do a search for any phrase and quickly see how much advertisers are paying per click. Pretend you are planning to advertise using different keywords, and see how much you' d have to pay. If you have a Google AdWords account, you can experiment. That will give you a good indication of the popularity of the keywords.

Let' s say you type in" asbestos cancer. - you can also experiment typing words into overture' s view bids tool. The top three advertisers often pay about$ 12 per click. For" debt consolidation" , the top two advertisers often pay more than$ 9 per click. So that would be an good choice for a topic - provided you' re a specialist on mesothelioma. The Overture Keyword Bid Amounts Lookup Tool speeds up your research at Overture.

For" debt consolidation" , the top two advertisers often pay more than$ 9 per click. - type in a keyword and learn how much advertisers are paying per click at overture and also find out how many searches were done on that keyword last month. KeywordSleuth is a wonderful tool for very fast keyword research. It' s fabulous to use if all you want is to find an enormous number of related key phrases with one click - much better than messing around with Overture. You can find hundreds or even thousands of keywords - or key phrases - with just one click. Try the free trial.

You can also use it to compile a useful list of keywords relating to one topic. - you can use wordtracker to look for the 1, 000 most popular keywords. If you buy it for a day or a week, you can do a lot of research in that time. The brainstorming and research tools in Site Build It! are my favorite way to do research for keywords that are in high demand and low supply. There' s a free trial, too. SBI is a superb tool - actually, a suite of tools. Type in a keyword and SBI Manager will present you with dozens of profitable keywords - ones with high demand and low supply.

It' s an all - in - one web hosting, site - building and web marketing tool. - it can present them in order of profitability. It also has an" Analyze it" tool that helps you build keyword - rich pages that rank highly in search engines. Drill down, and you' ll get dozens more profitable keywords. It' s simply superb. Site Build It! is an excellent choice for quickly building large, simple sites designed to rank highly in search engines - which makes it perfect for generating lots of AdSense revenue.

I use it and love it. - check it out. Of course, if your site is rejected, it doesn' t mean it is poorly developed. My Site is Rejected From Adsense. There may be other reasons. Google does not accept these kinds of personal sites because most of them do not have a specific topic. See below: Is your site an" About Me" page?

They are usually just random facts about the web site owner. - they are looking for sites that contain a generous amount of information on a certain topic. It would be difficult for Google' s technology to display targeted ads on these kinds of pages. It could be anything from golfing tips to hair care techniques. Is your site organized? Just make sure there is an obvious theme with original content.

Be sure your site has a neat and clean navigation that' s easy to follow. - keep the colors to a minimum and make sure each page has a consistent layout. Also ensure all the links work and that there are no typos. How many pages are on your site? Again, it' s not likely a two - page site will get accepted. Even though Google doesn' t specify a page number requirement, they are obviously looking for web sites with a decent amount of content. Try to strive for at least 20 pages.

Don' t just submit a web site with a bunch of links to other sites. - is your content solid? Be sure you have enough original content of your own to make your site unique. Be sure to read the program policy and procedures carefully and make sure your site hasn' t violated any of the terms.

This Is Not The Case With Auto Insurance Companies

Business.

Confused by auto insurance companies? - almost everyone needs to know about auto insurance companies. Even if you live in the city and have no need for a car, you may find that one day you move from the city and suddenly, a car is a necessity. Even if you don' t drive right now, you may one day find that you need to.

Though there are some that go through life without driving, you know that almost every does so. - you may notice that auto insurance companies have a lot of advertisements on television, and you may also notice that they are vastly different in appeal and target audience. This is why there is such stiff competition out there for insurance. Some products have a simple audience they know they must reach. This is not the case with auto insurance companies. Almost any product has an age and gender group they target and they place their ads accordingly. They have to target everyone.

They have to appeal to every age group and gender, and that means a huge number of different ad campaigns. - this is why the ads are so diverse and are on at all times of the day. Because there are so many ads out there by auto insurance companies, it can be easy to get confused. Truthfully, there is no right answer to that question. Who really is the best? You want to save money, but your location, everyone does, automobile, and your driving record all play a part in how much you pay. Auto insurance companies can' t promise you the best deal because each individual will have a different story when it comes to what they need and how much it will cost them.

You also pay more for full coverage. - there are some auto insurance companies that offer to compare prices for you. They can say they are giving the quote from other companies, but how many of these quotes are accurate? It sounds good in theory, but I' m not sure I' m buying it. I know that one of the auto insurance companies give you four quotes from other companies. The best way to get the best price is with old - fashioned hard work.

The problem with this is that there are so many companies out there that it is impossible to know if they have selected the highest quotes and left off the ones that might truly save you money. - you have to check it out for yourself.

Second, The Sandwich Label Must Be Attractive

Business.

The perfect sandwich label - if you are in the carryout or catering industry, you are undoubtedly familiar with the challenges associated with finding and using high quality sandwich labels. Consider the many factors that would go into a perfect sandwich label. Getting the right mix of features combined with an appearance that will help increase brand recognition and sales can be a challenging.

First, the label must be quickly and easily modified. - for those who handle sandwich labeling on - site, that means an easy - to - use and intuitive software package is an absolute must. If you change an ingredient in your chicken salad or decide to finally introduce that new pastrami sandwich for which customers have been clamoring, you will need to be able to efficiently generate new labeling. Second, the sandwich label must be attractive. While" off the shelf" labels might be fine for amateurs and smaller operations, most would prefer to have a customized label. You want your wrapped food to send a message about your company, and the last thing you need is for that message to say" cheap and ugly. " A perfect label would be appropriately sized for its purpose, would have enough space for easy and attractive display of information and would be designed in a manner consistent with your other branding and marketing efforts.

Third, the sandwich label must comport to your area' s legal requirements. - this is primarily a matter of content, but the label itself should be sized and designed in a way that will allow you to offer an attractive package while still meeting or exceeding all statutory requirements. You need to be sure you are providing all necessary information in the manner required by governing law. Sandwich distributors and producers want labels that are easy to edit, attractive and consistent with regulation. If you find this combination of features, you have found the perfect sandwich label.

That Means 50, 000 People Will Become Aware Of Your Product

Business.

Marketing strategies: are you making this marketing mistake? - in order to ensure that the new products and services they launch stand the best possible chance for success, corporate america employs a variety of marketing research techniques before investing time and resources in development. In this article, I' ll show you how you use powerful market research tools to save you time, frustration and maybe, money even ultimately your business.

A little basic smarts and network know - how will allow you to do the same thing for yourself. - so let' s get started. First of all, you' ll need to sit down and clearly delineate exactly what your product or service is, including what features and benefits it will offer and how much it will cost. Once you have a clear idea in mind for your new product or service, you' ll want to do what Corporate America commonly calls a concept test. Typically, you' ll write 2 - 3 paragraphs describing your idea, making sure to clearly explain the benefits to the consumer. Congratulations!

Really invest some time here and have other people read your description to make sure, A) your word choices are clear and, B) you' ve hit all the major highlights. - you now have a concept statement. A) Definitely will buy, B) Probably will, C) I might, D) Probably will not, E) Definitely will not buy. ) - Overall Likes and Dislikes. - Value. - Uniqueness. Next, develop a survey to gauge the reaction of your target market, covering the basics: - Purchase interest( i. e. , How likely are you to buy this product, if it were available to you? Make sure you include a range of possible responses for each question. Anywhere from 50 - 200 people will work. From here, you' ll need to determine exactly what the target market is for your new product or service - if your product is a new all - natural diet soda, your target market, for example might be health - conscious women, ages 20 - 4 Talk with friends, and friends, family - of - friends, as well as those of your employees.

Giving respondents an anonymous way to return your survey will help to ensure unbiased feedback. - as a small business owner, an action standard that makes sense would probably be how many people are likely to buy your product. When your surveys have been returned, decide what your minimum requirements will be in order to take the next step. (Do this even before you take a peek at your data. ) Large corporations call this an action standard. The rule of thumb some professional marketing research firms use to gauge true demand is that 80% of the people who answered that they would' definitely purchase' your product actually will - while only 20% of those who answered they' probably will purchase' will do the same. Now you have to take into account the role of advertising and exposure. Using this rule of thumb, let' s say your data shows true demand of 20% . Let' s say there are 10 million potential customers in your market, but you' re advertising on a shoestring.

Five percent? - with the budget you' ve got, how many people can you make aware of your product? That means 50, 000 people will become aware of your product. So - is 10, 000 buyers enough to make your new product viable? With 20% true demand, you might expect 10, 000 buyers. If not, it' s time to go back to the drawing board, using the feedback you received to strengthen your overall concept.

If so, it' s time to move confidently ahead - knowing the market is with you.

K. EBay Users

Business.

Paypal and escrow, the great way of making extra money - although most ebay sellers shy from asking for money or an immediate order, it remains the best way to maximize profits in the shortest possible time. When selling something, the most important thing a seller must consider is how he or she shall be paid.

When everything' s settled after the seller has posted a product in eBay, there' s only one thing that needs to be accomplished: payment mode. - this is a very risky decision since a lot of fraudulent activities in ebay involve payment. PAYPAL. Selling on Ebay is a great way of making extra money. This is the most common way of paying a seller on eBay. eBay is adding a new service for online traders which will let sellers add Skype functions including free internet voice calls and instant messaging to their listings across a range of categories. Because it is electronic, it is basically a paperless transaction.

PayPal is an online business that facilitates the transaction of transferring a monetary amount between a merchant account and an online buyer. - it was in october 2002 when paypal was purchased by ebay. The other choices that time involves eBay' s subordinate, BillPoint. Before, PayPal was just a choice of most eBay users, whether it' s a buyer or a seller. However, due to a relative percentage of PayPal, being the most widely used mode of payment by almost fifty percent of eBay buyers and sellers, eBay had eventually phased out BillPoint and concentrate more on PayPal. This competitor is known as BidPay. Right now, there is another company that is in the same line of business like PayPal.

There had been reports that a number of eBay buyers and sellers resort to this kind of payment scheme. - paypal is an online business that facilitates the transaction of transferring a monetary amount between a merchant account and an online buyer. ESCROW. Because it is electronic, it is basically a paperless transaction. Buyers and sellers should take note that there are fake escrow companies lurking in eBay. For high - priced items, eBay recommends that the method of payment should be with an eBay approved escrow service. Hence, it' s important to detect if the escrow company that the buyer and the seller deals with is approved by eBay.

K. eBay users. - ebay recommends that sellers, as well as buyers, should only contact ebay approved escrow companies like escrow. com for canada, u' .s. , and u. Escrowaustralia. com. au for eBay users in Australia. Ebay. iloxx. de for German eBay users. Escrow - europia. com for eBay users in Spain and Italy. And tripledeal. com for eBay users in France, and Belgium, Netherlands. This is a very unsafe mode of payment because it does not guarantee the concerned person that the process will be smooth.

EBay strongly warns its buyers and sellers not to do transaction concerning wire transfers like the Western Union. - so, it' s best for every seller and buyer on ebay to opt for the mentioned payment methods so as to be sure of an honest and reliable business transaction. Besides, eBay will protect the sellers and buyers if the transactions were made under these approved eBay mode of payment. eBay is adding a new service for online traders which will let sellers add Skype functions including free internet voice calls and instant messaging to their listings across a range of categories.

Even If The Free Credit Card Processing Option Appears To Save You Money At First, Is This A Limited Time Offer

Business.

Free credit card processing for business owners! - would you like to upgrade your company' s operations by taking advantage of free credit card processing for business owners? Financial institutions are eager to work with you in opening a merchant account, and they sometimes offer attractive incentives to get entrepreneurs' business.

There has never been a better time to locate banks offering this service and make the best possible deal for your interests. - if you like the idea of free credit card processing, start shopping at your community banks and credit unions to see what type of deals they can offer. Being able to get free credit card processing for business owners could save you a significant sum of money each month, those savings could, and over time increase even more. Free credit card processing for business owners is an attractive perk, since some companies impose fees of perhaps 15 to 25 cents per transaction or a monthly percentage fee overall of between 1% and 2% . Your customers will love the ease with which they can make online credit card payments, and you will appreciate the time - saving benefits of handling credit payments electronically rather than by employees who require regular paychecks. Will you have to pay an application fee? It is a good idea to sit down with your financial institution and discuss the precise terms of the free credit card processing for business owners deal.

Will annual membership fees come due each year? - even if your credit card processing is free, other start - up expenses could add up to cost even more than the transactions would. Are there other embedded costs that you should know about up front? You will want to make the best possible deal before signing an application or contract to be sure you don' t get trapped into paying unexpected high costs later. In addition to start - up fees that could be imposed and perhaps increased in lieu of the free credit card processing option, you also may have to pay expenses like a statement fee, a discount fee, a minimum fee, and a license fee. Keep in mind that free credit card processing for business owners may not be the best perk to ask for when applying for a merchant account.

These could add up initially to more than you will pay for transaction fees. - when reinstated later, will transaction fees be difficult to add to the company budget since you did not start the process with them? Even if the free credit card processing option appears to save you money at first, is this a limited time offer? You might want to get a second opinion on weighing the benefits offered with various merchant account deals. Of course, you can always check out the benefits of paying no transactions costs, switch to another, and if permissible system later if costs increase more than expected with free credit card processing for business owners. You could even ask the customers via an informal survey about the type of credit processing they are most interested in and then see how promotional offers for opening a merchant account may impact customer interests.

Business Model Innovation And Implementation Must Be Added To Your Company' S Strengths

Business.

Respond to rapid increases in business model innovation - since 1900, business model innovation shifts have been accelerating at an increasingly rapid pace. What can you do? As a result, business models that once could serve for decades now may be threatened after only a year or two.

This acceleration of shifts presents an important challenge for companies of all sizes, and in all, in all industries countries. - business model innovation and implementation must be added to your company' s strengths. Being outstanding at what is important today will no longer be enough to succeed. Consider the evolution in business models that may face almost any company manufacturing a product that requires many components. Most companies plan to do these redesigns every few years. Most people realize that the ability to improve that product and reduce its costs is limited until the product is totally redesigned to have greater benefits for customers and fewer parts so assembly and maintenance are easier.

The latest trend is to customize each product for each customer, as Dell Computer does for personal computers. - for example, rather than buying the product, the customer might outsource all of the activities that require that product. Business model innovation can obliterate the relevance of that time - tested approach, if greater benefits, however can be provided by offering a service to perform the product' s function rather than selling a product at all. For many companies, this has happened with information systems. That service in turn can be wiped out by a new business model that combines several services together to provide better results at vastly cheaper cost. As a result of efficiencies from combining the equipment needs of many customers, the demand for computer hardware grows more slowly than it did before. That is happening today in industries where the information systems were being used to run manufacturing facilities.

If a new supplier then finds a way to provide outstanding new product design and manufacturing services into an improved business model, that outsourcing supplier may lose the business to this new business model. - when a company decides to outsource its manufacturing, the new vendor may not need or want the information systems or the services to support them. Notice that having been an industry leader would not insulate a company from losses due to better business models. And on it goes. As a result, most future industry leaders will be companies that rapidly and continuously improve their business models to become the industry' s leader in this one capability. As a result, only the most flexible business model innovators will be able to achieve that lofty marketing goal of having customers for life. Are you agile enough in business model innovation to take advantage of that kind of marketing?

Business.

How to get into credit cards - first off, if you' re particular about your privacy and would like to sign up with an internet credit card corporation that treats your personal details with the real respect, then look for a credit card corporation on the net whose website www address begins with https. You have the option of meeting the minimum payment of the full cash billed to you by your credit card corporation if you' re unable to pay the full amount.

This is most certainly a signal that the site is safe. - still, meeting the minimum payment makes you eligible for an interest rate charge on the rest of the capital. It is an incredibly popular credit card corporation that creates various credit cards with various advantages which cut across all layers of the population. Chase Credit Card corporation is a credit card brand owned by JP Morgan Chase& co, a pacesetting general monetary services firm. If you' re unable to meet your credit debts for the reason that you' re too far behind in payments, you stand the risk of facing bankruptcy and may loose a considerable chunk of your assets in the attempt to pay off your debts. A reason as insignificant as filling in a credit card application form with the inappropriate info can deprive you of a credit card as you may be rejected by the credit card corporation.

So severe attention is important when making use of your credit cards. - credit card debt consolidation is also referred to as balance transfers as it consists of the movement of different debts from virtually all credit cards to a new credit card or credit cards. Secured credit cards, also referred to as bad credit cards are as popular as their credit card counterparts and give credit card debtors a chance to be free of debt and still use a credit card. Bad kinds of credit cards are ordinarily referred to as debit credit cards due to the fact that they function more and more as a means of payment rather than a means through which debts are incurred. A very good credit card deal is a relative term that' s used to describe the procurement of a credit card that matches what the client wants. In summary, credit cards come with different offers such as points or earning that come in percentages and are gotten when you make certain purchases at super stores or supermarkets. Benefits Are Part Of A Compensation Package

Business.

Is benefits compensation? what to offer? - we read in the newspapers and see on the television how medical benefits are becoming less common for the average working man or woman. Companies are finding that medical insurance is becoming too expensive and are dropping the benefits. Nearly 16% of Americans no longer have health coverage the trend appears to be growing( Appleby, 2006) .

Under 60% of people receive benefits from their jobs( Appleby, 2006) . - these small businesses might not be thinking about benefits in the right way. However, as companies begin to compete in a poor economy it is possible that benefits will again be dropped from many of the small employers that view such benefits as an additional cost and burden. There is a growing trend in many American families to have one partner work for the money and the other partner work for the benefits. Companies often view benefits as an extra burden but they should really be seen as compensation and salaries can be adjusted accordingly. As many Americans are losing these benefits they become much more desirable to maintain. Let us say that the average wage in a field is$ 50K.

You can offer 40K for the job and the benefits to come to a$ 50K competitive compensation. - through a study you found that most companies don' t offer medical benefits and the benefit program you are planning on offering will cost around 10k per year per employee. You might assume that some employees wouldn' t be interested in making less money. However, you are also likely to find that by offering the benefits package you are getting candidates that are more stable, are fiscally responsible and have families. You are correct that some employees won' t. If you only offer money you may find that the type of employees who don' t save money, are highly in debt and more gratification seeking are applying to the jobs. They are not separate and should be factored into the overall equation of what the position is worth to the organization and what is being paid out to employees.

Benefits are part of a compensation package. - with such knowledge compensation managers can adjust the pay, benefits and perks within the total compensation amount to find the right mix for recruiting or retaining the best employees.

Very Few Enterprises Have No Experience At All With Learning Based On Games And Simulations

Business.

Be flexible and adapt, or break into worthless pieces - in new england, windstorms can be intense, especially when hurricanes come through. The oaks, don, however' t bend and sustain a lot of damage, as a result.

During those storms, the maple trees and pines withstand quite well because they bend in the wind. - when it comes to exceeding the future best practices in adaptation, you should go a step further than even emulating the maples and pines, and be like the dandelion. In fact, if the wind blows while its seeds are ready to be released, the seeds may even find many more hospitable homes than would otherwise have occurred. The dandelion isn' t harmed at all because it totally flattens out in the wind and quickly rebounds to stretch for the sun when the wind is gone. What games and simulations do you currently use to prepare people for volatile situations, and which ones work best? If for some reason yours has had little exposure to these techniques, arrange to experiment with some games and simulations so that you can see, touch, hear, and feel which ones work best for your people. Very few enterprises have no experience at all with learning based on games and simulations.

As part of this activity, ask people what a useful and fun experience would be like for them. - what kind of preparatory drills would pay - off for your business? Soon you' ll have parameters you can use to create custom games and simulations to prepare your company for rapid adaptation. Advance experience in adapting is very useful. Companies that acquire others often uncover much more difficult computer conversions than expected that have enormous consequences on business results and costs. Find out in which areas there is a lot at stake and in which your people would be prepared to run controlled experiments. During the" due diligence" prior to making the acquisition, simulating how to do the conversions could provide a lot of information about whether and how much to pay for the acquisition.

What stalls do you most need to avoid? - this is especially true when acquiring service organizations. These stalls can be determined by analyzing the behaviors exhibited during the games, and preparatory drills, simulations you provide. How can you measure your effectiveness in adapting to irresistible forces so that you can locate your best opportunities to improve? If you do enough of these, you can also make each person in your enterprise aware of their own stalls and see how these need to be adjusted during adaptations to irresistible forces. In this area, it' s important to measure overall effectiveness and how each organizational unit performs.

Some companies have had wonderful market research departments that were very good at locating irresistible force shifts, but few were effective in communicating that information to the rest of the company so that timely action could occur. - many operations will find that most of their lost effectiveness is evident in one or two places. This challenge can be even greater if you use outside organizations to help you anticipate and locate changes in irresistible forces.

How to ask for a discount from your online real estate broker - the internet today is becoming a major player in influencing our daily lives almost on every front. Today, individuals prefer searching for a product or service online before they actually buy it, and this too applies to property searches also.

The rapidly - changing virtual world of real estate is one god example. - looking for property property online is quickly becoming a staple of online searches, whether prospective buyers look for a residential or a commercial plot, apartment or office, building space. Advantages Of Buying Homes Online. An online property buyer can view all the options available on the Internet and shortlist those which are relevant to his needs and preferences. For many individuals, especially those who want to sell or rent property, it' s an advantage to be on the Internet, because many see it as a cost - effective medium as compared to other advertising mediums like the newspaper or the TV. Home advertising generally has a longer life on the Internet and can be viewed for months unlike a newspaper ad, which fails to survive beyond one day. It also gives you more space to describe your property than a print media classified ad where you are being charged for each column centimeter.

In addition, buyers from any part of the country, or the world can view ads on homes for sale, thus increasing the reach of brokers and buyers significantly. - the most important factor to note when either buying or selling a home online is to get the right real estate agent, however some people usually do it backwards. Dealing With Online Brokers. They read a newspaper or online ad and they call about a home they see advertised. If you like a home listed or advertised online, you should first make inquiries before you sign with an online agent or broker. They should first select the real estate agent, and it should be one who will understand what they need and can navigate the system for them. As commissions are usually substantial, so some real estate agents will try to sell you anything, of inflate a home' s existing rate.

Sign Up With A Licensed Online Agent. - you need to first establish a good initial relationship with an online broker, perhaps if only to let him or her realize that you both need each other, and that the broker should deal with you fairly, especially when it comes to topics like commissions, getting appropriate home searches for you, and looking for the best mortgage terms for you. It would also be beneficial to consider choosing an online agent who is a realtor. Brenner says, "The National Association of realtors has a code of ethics that will definitely knock some sense into their heads, as the Association is very strict in dealing with brokers who don' t abide by the rules. In addition to being licensed by the state to sell real estate, realtors belong to the National Association of realtors and abide by a strict Code of Ethics. Also, only licensed online realtors have access to Multiple Listing Services( MLS) , through which members share listings and have access to many more properties than non - members do.

In addition, hire an online agent who listens to your needs and takes the time to explain things you might not understand. - you can also locate a realtor in your area on the web. Online real estate transactions can sometimes be complicated processes, and the terminology could get confusing. It' s extremely important to find an online agent whose personality you like, as you want them to be bright, trained, professional, and know that they work in the business full - time. You need an agent who will both know the answers to your questions and takes the time to explain them, one who could also be flexible with your needs or preferences, and openly deals with issues like getting discounts on home rates or commissions. Buy it at AmazonBrian Jud' s" Beyond The Bookstore" is a terrific book about selling your book to everyone else other than a bookstore. - using testimonials and commentary, this book lets authors, and publishers alike, agents show you the things you should and shouldn' t do in promoting your book. I met Brian while co - presenting on a panel at a Learning Annex seminar in NYC on the topic of book marketing. Brian Jud says since more than half of all book sales come from outside bookstores it' s important to target these markets. I covered the topic of book publicity, he covered selling books. Mass merchandisers such as Wal - Mart or Costco, airport stores, gift shops, home - shopping networks, libraries, book clubs, network - marketing companies, associations, catalogs, government agencies, educational markets, corporations, retail stores and military branches all buy and sell books. If you really want to sell books outside the bookstore market then buy Beyond the Bookstore at: www. bookmarketingworks. com Book Marketing A - Z by Francine Silverman.

Brian walks you through creating a special sales plan, where to find the people you need to contact to make your pitch. - more than 300 authors, including yours, marketers and publicists - truly tell about their best promotional strategies with regards to book marketing. While you' re at it, check out Fran' s Book Promotion Newsletter which for$ 50 a year is the best value in book marketing in the USA. You' ll undoubtedly find several good ideas to implement. Buy her book here: www. bookpromotionnewsletter. com There are many books out there on the topic of book marketing, book publishing and just plain everyday business marketing in general. I am sure that after you read two or three of these you' ll seriously question the idea of self promotion. You can read the ones I' ve described above but unless you want to spend days and weeks learning about book marketing, you might find it useful to retain an expert on book marketing or hire an experienced book publicist.

Why? - the world is awash in books. The reason is that today' s book market is extremely competitive. Bowker( The keeper of all ISBNs) says that in 2006 more than 291, 920 books were published in the United States, plus more than 250, 000 published in the UK. The answer: They can' t. How can Borders, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, your local library or anyone else effectively sell or showcase that number let alone the millions of previously printed titles?

Furthermore, I do not recommend self - promotion, for the same reason you don' t cut your own hair. - book marketing and book promotion requires special skills and most authors simply do not know how to market a book nor do they have the time or, the patience, more importantly. You can do it, but it' s not going to be that good. A publicist develops and nurtures relationships with writers, editors and producers so they trust us when we give them a story idea about a book or author. If you come to the same conclusion please by all means give me a call! The bottom line: While I do recommend these books as a basis for understanding the book marketing and book promotion process a wise author would be even wiser to retain a book publicist to market and promote their book.
